Intended use.
6.1
Type I, class A furnaces are intended primarily to be used in
lead bath operations and operations requiring salts which are not compatible with
ceramic materials. The Type II, class A and Type 111, class A furnaces may be used
for most salt bath operations in the lower temperature range. The Type II, class B
and C furnaces are intended to be used in operations requiring neutral salts in the
middle and upper temperature ranges.
