with heat ON-OFF oil tight push buttons shall be furnished separately, as
part of control station or heating station, as indicated in 3.5.5.
3.5.4 Heating station. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2.1), the
heating station shall be complete with a NEMA Type I enclosure made of
the same material and thicknesses specified for the control station in
3.5.3. The heating station shall be equipped with a power factor correcting
water-cooled capacitor with multiple tap arrangement with knife blade
switches, jacks, or similar devices for changing taps and output connection
to apply maximum generator power to the work coil. The number of capacitors
in the heating station will vary depending upon the requirements of the
heating application; however, in each heating station there shall be one
or more capacitors with at least five tappings to provide for power factor

3.5.5 High frequency (HF) contactor. A contactor suitable for handling
high frequency power shall be furnished to disconnect the HF power
supply to the heating station. The HF contactor shall be supplied either
in the control station, the heating station, or if necessary, in a
separate enclosure. Enclosure shall be NEMA Type I with full length
access door with safety interlock switch. When more than one heating
station is required, the main HF contactor shall be mounted in a separate
enclosure and the line HF contactor shall be mounted in each heating
station. Line contractors shall be applicable NEMA Type.
3.5.6 Indicating lights. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2.1), or
indicated herein, indicating lights shall be furnished in accordance
with the manufacturer's commercial practice. Indicating lights shall be
centrally located convenient to the operator.
* 3.6 Sizes and characteristics. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2.1),
the capacity (KW output) and high frequency output voltages continuously
available for each size of induction heater shall be as shown in Table I.
The required rated capacities apply to both water and air cooled MG sets.
3.7 Equipment.
3.7.1 Standard equipment. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2.1), the
induction heaters shall be furnished with all standard equipment normally
furnished by the manufacturer.
